 SATURDAY, JUNE 4:

http://www.albinoband.com/

Don't expect to see any musicians with congenitally deficient skin pigmentation in the band Albino! This Berkeley-based, 14-piece all-star ensemble honors the fiery legacy of Afrobeat inventor Fela Kuti by melding tightly-crafted arrangements and nuances of jazz harmony with propulsive, high energy grooves. For the innocent bystander, any visit to an albino! show inevitably becomes an all out booty-maneuvering experience. Formed in 2003, the members of Albino! hail from such diverse acts as Spearhead, CK Ladzekpo, and Hamsa Lila, among others. Since this group's inception, world-beat and jamband lovers alike have latched-on to the primary ingredient behind this band's truly broad appeal: Albino simply brings the house down every opportunity it gets!

Americanistan w/ bellydancers

Americanistan has been performing for over 14 years, in many different settings and from the West to the East Coast. Americanistan is dedicated to bringing you the very best of acoustic world music. Frankly, it isn't easy to gather, maintain, and play some of the world's most beautiful traditional musical instruments. Many of them have classical traditions behind them that involve years of study in order to master. And the instruments are delicate - they don't like climate change, they come with fragile reeds and breakable strings. But we think that the charm and magnificence of these instruments makes all the effort worthwhile.

So you can be assured that we will never cut any corners - no drum machines, no synths - in giving you the very best authentic, acoustic music ensemble we can attain. If we can't all be transported to a time centuries ago, where we sang, played and danced around the fire after a hard day's travel through the desert, at least we can do our best to recreate that experience in a way that is spiritually true to us all.

Our goal is to create exciting, dynamic, beautiful music for our audiences and for each dancer we play for. We strive to tailor the music to the dancer's preference, style, and skill. We pride ourselves on our reputation as the most "dancer-friendly" band ever.

We love and cherish each and every dancer that we play for, from the beginner to the most advanced professional. Together, the music and the dance create a sacred space, which the audience can also enter to experience the joy of the ancient and living art of bellydance.          Late Night Bellydancing w/acoustic Americanistan               www.americanistan.com

We worked up a few songs and began singing in Retirement Homes, Churches and Community Events, and to our dear Veterans. We have a lot of fun singing Vintage songs, Southern Gospel, Old Hymns and are more.

Slow Rollers

The Slow Rollers started out as a project between Jim Pomeroy and Nathan Zito. The band was rounded out and solidified with Nathaniel Nolan, Peter Boone, and Joel Boutwell. The Slow Rollers brings a tight performance with a mix of Rock-and-roll and Delta Blues. The goal of the band is to put out the best American Rock-and-roll they can make and play it live for music fans across the country.
