PICNIC with SHINING STARS -

 A COMMUNITY CELEBRATION

A picnic  is very much a family event - a place where grandparents, parents and children can relax and have fun together. The Illinois Valley is a unique and dynamic community with character second to none. The Shining Stars loves to share itself and our environment with others, and a community picnic provides just the right occasion. Visitors are quick to recognize there is indeed something beautiful and extraordinary about the event and the community.

OUR COMMITMENT TO RECYCLING

SHINING STARS is committed to treating the earth with respect.  We are striving for a low waste event.  Recycling begins with compassion...it begins with you.  Visitors are encouraged to bring their own silverware and cups.  We encourage our food vendors to offer washable dishes and biodegradable plasticware.  This will greatly cut down on the amount of waste that goes into the landfill.

Rain or Shine…The Stars Go On!
